The Center Where Everybody is Somebody
The City of Refuge Kids Club is a 501c3 non-profit organization where affordable after school care will be provided incorporating our mission and vision. It is an organization being built today from the ground up.
This will be a place where children can go after school where people care and are concerned about their well-being. It will be a safe haven where everybody is somebody. So many children are home alone after school for an average of 3 hours a day usually five days a week. In the United States, a 2002 Census survey reported 5.8 million (15%) of all children between the ages of five and fourteen years living with a mother care for themselves an average of 6.3 hours per week- and 65% of those children spent between 2-9 hours home alone. The older kids are often the ones who spend 10 or more hours per week home alone.

Curtis Alexander is the President/CEO/Founder of The City of Refuge Kids Club. The CORKC is a great organization for children to come to a safe, fun-filled environment where they can be themselves and that they are supported and teachable, trainable, encouraged, oh and did I say supported. We thrive on supporting our members in every way and want them to grow in society. We teach them about Character Building and we also support them in every aspect of Education, and home life as well. We take it the extra step to involve them at their homes. We provide home visits, school visits to make sure they have what they need to be successful. We are truly a caring and nurturing Afterschool Program. If you have any ideas or thoughts on how to make this program better please reach out to me.
Curtis Alexander is the Visionary Founder of TCORKC and attributes this Program and dedicates it to God. This Program is geared towards the disadvantage and latch-key children who Curtis has a heart for. Being adopted himself he understands the needs and support that children needs. They need to be loved and cherished and that is what we do here at TCORKC.
